Our History

Founded in 2022 by MUGISHA Ebenezer, the Rwanda Pickleball Children Foundation was established to introduce and develop the sport of pickleball in Rwanda. With the rise of this fast-paced, easy-to-learn sport worldwide, the foundation aims to bring the same excitement and accessibility to the Rwandan community.

Why Pickleball?

The idea behind starting the Rwanda Pickleball Children Foundation is driven by a passion for creating new sporting opportunities in Rwanda. While tennis, basketball, and football are well-established, pickleball offers a unique chance to introduce a fresh sport that can easily be
learned by both beginners and experienced athletes. With its minimal equipment needs and
flexible space requirements, pickleball is a sport that can be enjoyed in schools, communities,
and clubs throughout the country.
